FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical processing of gypsum-containing raw materials and man-made wastes, particularly to methods of separating silicon concentrate from boric acid production wastes (borogypsum), which can be used as reinforcing filler of synthetic and polymer materials in tire, rubber, chemical, light and other industries, production of construction materials, as well as gypsum concentrate used in construction industry. Method of borogypsum processing includes repulping of borogypsum to ratio of liquid to solid L:S=4:1, agitation of minerals with flotation reagent for 2–3 minutes, flotation for 8–9 minutes and drying of obtained products. Floatation reagent used is sodium oleyl sarcosinate, which is added in amount of 1 kg/t of borogypsum. Flotation process is carried out at temperature of 30–35 °C in neutral medium.
EFFECT: recycling wastes from production of boric acid and their use as technogenic raw material for production of commodity concentrates (gypsum and silicic).
