FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to chemical industry, specifically to a catalyst for selective oxidation of carbon monoxide in the presence of a gas mixture comprising propylene, water vapour and propane, containing platinum group metal particles, deposited on porous carrier surface containing phase γ-Al2O3 and boehmite phase in amount of less than 10 wt. %. Invention also relates to a method for selective oxidation of carbon monoxide by reacting a gaseous mixture comprising carbon monoxide, propylene, water vapour, propane in the presence of said catalyst, as well as a method of producing acrylic acid and a method of producing a catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of method of producing acrylic acid, reduced production costs and high safety of said method.
