SUBSTANCE: refrigerator according to the present invention includes a cooled compartment, in which a cooling temperature range is set; compartment for storage in supercooled state, provided from lower side in cooled compartment and made with possibility of cooling object to be cooled, so that object to be cooled reaches supercooling temperature, which is equal to or lower than freezing temperature, lower than cooling temperature range, and an upper plate formed of a plurality of flat plate-like transparent elements and configured to function as an upper side of the storage compartment in a supercooled state, wherein between the plurality of transparent elements gas is enclosed due to that they are facing each other.
