FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for creation of thrust in gaseous and liquid media. Radial rotary propulsor consists of rotary impeller and external housing designed to convert velocity head created by impeller due to thrust of propulsor. Propulsor consists of side walls with inlet holes coaxial to impeller to enter working medium and end wall. End wall is connected with side walls and consists of sections, one of which forms an outlet channel for discharge of working medium flow, section of which increases in direction of rotation of impeller. Second section of the end wall is located with minimum clearance from blades of the impeller in radial direction. On the inlet of the propulsor casing a nozzle is installed, a ram flow is directed to the impeller inlet, and at the outlet of the casing channel the nozzle is installed, which is made with possibility to change speed and direction of the flow leaving the propulsor.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of thrust development, reduced dimensions and weight of the device, reduced drag during movement in the medium flow, reduced noise during operation and absence of danger from open moving parts of the device.
