FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of crystalline powder of chromium-nickel spinel NiCr2O4, which can be used to create heat-regulating coatings with high emissivity for use in machine building, space engineering, nuclear power engineering and other high-technology industries. Invention consists in method of obtaining crystalline powder of chromium-nickel spinel of composition NiCr2O4, which includes preparation of initial charge containing powders of nickel oxide, chrome oxide, taken in stoichiometric ratio, their homogenisation, arrangement and thermal treatment of the mixture in a muffle furnace at temperature of 950–1050 °C for 1 to 3 hours with additional introduction of a melt solvent selected from series Li2MoO4, NaCl at ratio of 20 to 70 wt. % to obtained product NiCr2O4, and crystalline powder of nickel-chromium spinel NiCr2O4 is separated from melt solvent by dissolving it in water at temperature of 90–95 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain crystalline powder of chromium-nickel spinel with significant reduction of power consumption, and also obtaining crystalline powders of chromium-nickel spinel of cubic structure, having high emissivity (ε = 0_94) with grain composition of 40–100 mcm, suitable for gas-flame sputtering, and grain composition of less than 40 mcm, which is suitable for paint-and-lacquer technologies.
