FIELD: oral cavity hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for delivery and for prolonged application of bleaching and/or therapeutic agents on teeth, as well as for dental protection against dying and from formation of biofilms and plaque. Composition forming a stable film on teeth contains an acrylate/octylacrylamide copolymer in amount of 0.1 % to 50 % by weight, an adhesive which is colophony in amount of 9 % by weight, and a solvent acceptable for oral use. Composition can additionally contain a bleaching agent or a therapeutic agent. Group of inventions also relates to a method of protecting a tooth surface from the formation of spots or exposure of bacteria in humans or animals, and a method of whitening a tooth surface in a human or animal, including application of said composition on tooth surface in oral cavity.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a reliable delivery system which can deliver whitening particles and other active ingredients to teeth, as well as provide protection of teeth from formation of plaque and biofilm without fast delamination during everyday actions, such as brushing.
