FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, namely to adiabatic calorimetry, where specific heat and enthalpy of various materials and articles are determined, and can be used mainly in metrology. In the proposed adiabatic calorimeter, which includes a calorimetric vessel with a heater, three adiabatic shells surrounding the vessel and equipped with heaters and thermal converters, thermal converters together with calorimeter vessel heater are connected to temperature measurement and control unit. Shells and calorimetric vessel are made of highly heat-conducting material, shells heaters are arranged on external surfaces of shells, and their thermal converters are arranged on inner surfaces of shells. Calorimetric vessel is equipped with three thermal converters built into it, two of which are located diametrically opposite along the edges of the calorimetric vessel, and the third one – in its center. Heater of the calorimetric vessel is uniformly distributed over the volume of the vessel, the calorimetric vessel is made in the form of a disk drum with a cover and a bottom. Drum is symmetrical relative to the vertical conditional rotation axis and is equipped with identical through cylindrical holes of the specified diameter, and their amount is set proceeding from the condition that the total volume occupied with holes in the drum is maximum possible.
EFFECT: high accuracy with simultaneous expansion of functional capabilities of the device - expansion of the range of items and temperature range.
