SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for storage of fuel on vehicle and its supply to engine. Fuel tank is made by rolling metal sheet with one longitudinal weld and securing on both sides of end walls, wherein one edge of sheet before rolling is subjected to rolling or forming, forming L-shaped flanging, and seam is made overlapped.
EFFECT: higher reliability of fuel tank structure under operating conditions and increased service life.
