SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, namely to a device for intensifying gas pressure and a method of increasing gas pressure in a gun barrel. Gas pressure booster used with gun grenades or engineering minter cats, having in the centre part of the bottom of the tip for initiating a firing of central combat cartridges, or flat bottom for initiation of shot of lateral ignition cartridges, regular idle cartridge, charged to cartridge chamber of weapon, which serves as source of initial pressure. Extra charge charged from muzzle part of weapon or to muzzle brake-compensator of gun, capsule to the outside, is made in form of additional idle cartridge of central or side ignition, additionally equipped with washer on side surface or protruding bead, which prevent their complete fall down inside barrel or muzzle brake-compensator, and initiated by impact of their capsules on bottom or tip of rifle grenade or sapper mincer, during shooting of standard idle cartridge. Also disclosed is a method of increasing gas pressure in a gun barrel.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the range of throwing gun grenades or cocks excavator.
