SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to balneology, specifically to mud cure. Group of inventions includes a method for preparing natural sludge mud and use thereof. Method of preparation for use of natural sludge mud of Lake Tambukan provides for its extraction from bottom using a mechanized method with subsequent mechanical separation of foreign inclusions of natural and manmade nature, then dirt is separated according to grades depending on intensity of its colour and content of organic iron sulphide RS-Fe-SR, for first grade dirt content of the latter is from 3 wt. % to 4 wt. % in terms of Fe-methyl mercaptan in wt. % of natural substance, where R is an organic ligand, in form of a mercapto group radical, 1st grade dirt is placed in separate containers and these containers are pressurized with natural carbon dioxide under pressure extracted from 1-KMV-bis well of Essentuki field, under certain conditions pressurized containers with dirt are transported to a storage and/or application place.
