FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aqueous composition suitable for treating filter paper. Aqueous composition contains water and an oligomer composition. Said oligomer composition contains polymerised links (a) one or more monomers with epoxy functional group and monoethylenic unsaturation in amount of 2 to 6 wt %, (b) one or more monomers with a trialkoxysilyl functional group and monoethylenic unsaturation in amount of 5 to 30 wt %, (c) one or more chain transfer agents containing 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane (MTMO) in amount of 5 to 30 % by weight, and (d) one or more vinyl monomers other than (a), (b) and (c), up to 100 wt %, where the weight percentage is given relative to the total weight of the oligomer composition. Described is a method of treating filter paper, comprising bringing the aqueous composition into a first aspect in contact with filter paper and then bringing wet filter paper into contact with air having temperature of 80 to 150 °C.
EFFECT: technical result is providing acceptable tensile strength and acceptable results of preserving filter paper treated with an oligomer composition.
