FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of making hammer crushers. Proposed method comprises production of rectangular billet by casting, chipping and heat treatment. Billet, width and height of which is equal to hammer width and height, is cast with billet working part thickening, which length is less than 1/2 of hammer working part, and thickness of bulge is selected as ratio of working part of hammer to working part of workpiece, which is in range from 1.5 to 2.25, after which workpiece is placed in die cavity, where its working part is subjected to forming, at temperature from 950 to 1,050 °C, reducing bulge and increasing length, while retaining the original width, before the workpiece acquires the dimensions of the hammer, the obtained forged piece is removed from the die and immersed into the cooling liquid at room temperature, where, during continuous stirring, billet is cooled, after which obtained hammer is directed for mounting on hammer crusher rotor disc.
EFFECT: higher hardness and wear resistance of working part of hammer crusher, as well as increase in its service life.
