FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a photosensitive composition for photographic printing, which does not contain silver soluble in water, which can be used to produce an image on cellulose materials, comprising a photosensitive component which is complex salt of arene(cyclopentadienyl)iron, for example, benzene(cyclopentadienyl)tetrafluoroborate, a colour-forming component (a dye containing functional groups which bind iron ions) and a solvent (water or ethanol), with the following ratio, wt. %: photosensitive component - 0.5–2.0; colour-forming component - 1.0–3.0; solvent is balance. To increase the colouring strength, the composition can additionally contain surfactants, sodium bicarbonate or calcium salts.
EFFECT: invention enables to apply an image onto cellulose materials at room temperature using aqueous solutions of the disclosed composition.
