SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and device for emptying a tray for rod-shaped products of the tobacco industry, a processing module and a rotary unit. Tobacco industry rod-shaped products emptying device equipped with a filled trays station, a processing module comprising a rotary unit with a rotation shaft, intended for rotation of filled tray around axis, and lifting unit intended for lifting and lowering of rotary unit, emptying station of filled trays, station of empty trays. Rotary unit is intended for rotation of tray and movement of tray transversely to axis of rotation shaft during movement of lifting unit, and rotary unit is further designed to supplement rotation of tray by translational movement across axis of rotation shaft and in direction of tangential component of rotation. Also, the device for emptying the tray comprises a processing module for processing a tray filled with rod-shaped articles of the tobacco industry, and a rotary unit for reversing the tray for the tobacco industry rod-shaped articles. Also disclosed is a method for emptying trays for rod-shaped articles of tobacco industry.
