FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for chemical treatment of fibrous materials, particularly, to fire-retardant properties of textile materials. Invention objective is improvement of quality of impregnation of textile materials for giving fire-proof properties to them during operation. Method of imparting fire-retardant properties to textile materials involves treatment of material with a fire-retardant composition containing interpolymer complexes formed by equimolar aqueous solutions of complexing substances of polyacrylic acid and polyvinyl alcohol with concentration C = 0.03–0.1 g/l, in following ratio of components, wt. %: SAA (aqueous solution) 40.0–46.3 %; PVA (aqueous solution) 40.0–46.3 %; hydrochloric acid 0.1M 7.5–20.0 %, then additional immersion of material in bath with 0.1M solution of hydrochloric acid and drying at temperature of 80–100 °C.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is higher fire resistance of textile materials.
