FIELD: rolling production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling production, particularly, to metal forming, and relates to helical rolling of billet into sleeve. Proposed method comprises deformation of billet into one or two piercings by means of mandrel installed in the caliber formed by rollers and guide rulers consisting of inlet cone, clamp and outlet cone. Result is provided due to that rolling is performed with supply of coolant to deformation center from external surface of lines made with internal channels for supply of cooler and with longitudinal groove on external working surface, in which there is a tube with holes for supply of coolant along the length of deformation source in amount proportional to feed pitch.
EFFECT: reduced intensity of ruler wear and, as a result, higher quality and accuracy of geometrical dimensions of sleeves during piercing.
