SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a holder for cards and/or denominations. Holder for cards and/or denominations, having open from above housing (2), which contains base (6), wherein base (6) has upwardly extending from each other side walls (10, 12), in light of the problem of receiving in the holder, whenever possible, any types of cards and/or banknotes for their long-term reliable storage in a manner which is as sparing for their material as possible, wherein side walls (10, 12) together with base (6) form at least on sections an insertion compartment which, over a clamping length (K), has, at least, on sections, an insertion width (E) that is greater than 52 mm and less 53.98 mm, wherein inner surfaces (10a, 12a) of side walls (10, 12) are parallel to each other at least along the clamping length (K).
