SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an acid-base indicator disazo dye of the stilbene series for optical pH sensors operating in the pH range of 4.0-6.0, the composition of which is characterized by the formula C26H24N8O6S2 and the following structure:

Disclosed is a method for producing the above indicator disazo dye.
EFFECT: creation of a dye with a contrasting color transition in a biologically significant range of pH values corresponding to the normal pH value of the skin of a healthy person.
