FIELD: computing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for detecting the presence of objects with a self-monitoring function. The system comprises at least one light source, at least one light-sensitive agent and a processing device for detecting the presence of an object. Light sources have a different predetermined spectrum for each predetermined area. The light-sensitive agent is configured to detect light of a predetermined spectrum reflected from at least one object, if present in a predetermined area, and generate a presence signal based on the detected light, which is a human heart rate signal. The processing unit is configured to determine the presence of an object based on a presence signal, wherein the processing unit infers the presence of an object in a predetermined area based on the presence signals using a trained artificial neural network.
EFFECT: improved quality of detecting the presence of objects.
