FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction and production of construction materials. To increase earthquake resistance of blocks and buildings made from them, the unit comprises face and back layers, between which intermediate layer is located. Slot and ridge are located in face layer of unit. Layers of the block have porous structures and are interconnected. In the intermediate layer of the unit, having pores larger than pores of the front and rear layers of the block, longitudinal and vertical grooves communicated with the pores of the intermediate layer are made for the fluid glue composition in them. Longitudinal grooves are interconnected with vertical grooves at points of their convergence at corners of block and are interconnected with pores of intermediate layer of unit. Grooves are intended for free arrangement of longitudinal reinforcing elements and adhesive composition. Vertical grooves are made for formation between adjacent blocks of cavities for adhesive composition located in them, which connects sides of adjacent blocks. In the intermediate layer there are vertical holes communicated with the pores of the intermediate layer under the adhesive composition and vertical reinforcing elements freely installed in them. Each groove has in cross-section the shape of semi-circle or semi-circle, rectangular or trapezoidal groove. Each end of the hole of the block can be made with a conical bell flared out in the intermediate layer of the block. Also described is a method of connecting a building wall unit with adjacent blocks.

EFFECT: high earthquake resistance of blocks and structures made therefrom.
