SUBSTANCE: method for removing slag from a metal surface in a steel-pouring ladle (3) includes tilting the steel-pouring ladle, pressing the metal attachment ring (7) to the upper edge of the inclined steel-pouring ladle body, lowering the melt on the mirror (8) in the ladle of the paddle, fixed on the manipulator bar, and moving of the bar with a paddle. The metal attachment ring forms a threshold bounded by a chord between the inner walls of the steel-pouring ladle, while the removal of slag is carried out through the opening formed by the inner wall of the ladle and the threshold.
EFFECT: creation of a horizontal threshold by a metal ring changes the configuration of the opening through which slag removal is carried out, which ensures increased quality and completeness of slag removal.
