SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the refueling of aircraft in the air. The method of refueling an aircraft in the air is to bring the aircraft that is refueling (1) the other one and the aircraft that is being refueled (5) as close as possible. The refueling aircraft (1) uses the nozzle (2) to form a directed jet (9) of liquid fuel, which is oriented by controlling the angular orientation of the nozzle in the feedback mode so that the jet (9) enters the fuel intake opening (7) in the surface of the aircraft being refueled (5), which is opened during refueling.
EFFECT: reduced refueling time is achieved.
