FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of components of an electrochemical cell for thermal chemical current sources and tooling used therein. Powdered material is poured in portions into a cavity of a cylinder matrix, pressed by moving a floating die transmitting force onto the molded powdered substance. Prior to pouring the matrix is located with a clearance on an immobile tooling base and changing parts in form of a fork or a set of forks with a height that provides necessary volume for pouring the powdered material used for molding of flat elements of active parts of a thermal chemical current source are inserted into said clearance. A portion of the powdered material is poured into the cavity of the matrix without prior weighing, the excess thereof is removed flush with the surface of the matrix. Pressing is conducted in series for each portion of molded flat elements alternating different pressure level stages of cold pressing corresponding with the type of powdered material for the electrolyte and the cathode.
EFFECT: manufacture is made possible within a single cycle of pressing a set of flat parts of varied thickness for a thermal chemical current source while implementing the process by a no charge method.
