SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to seismic data processing and, in particular, to a system and method for effective identification and visualization of geological faults. The method for intelligent determination of tectonic faults includes: obtaining a cube of measured seismic data, dividing the cube of measured seismic data into subcubes of measured seismic data, feeding each subcube of measured seismic data into a convolutional neural network, obtaining subcubes of fault prediction for each subcube of seismic data, and collecting subcubes of prediction of faults into a fault prediction cube.
EFFECT: effective identification and visualization of geological faults.
