FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aqueous composition with increased stability for application to a metal surface, including at least one lipophilic compound and at least one copolymer, characterized in that at least one copolymer is a comb-shaped branched copolymer exhibiting an alternating sequence of monomeric units(a), having at least one hydrophilic group, and monomeric units (b), having at least one lipophilic side chain, where at least one hydrophilic group of monomeric units (a) is at least one carboxylate group, and where the monomeric units (b) have a single lipophilic side chain, which is a linear hydrocarbon chain with 4-20 carbon atoms. In addition, the method of obtaining this composition is considered, as well as its use for treatment of metal surfaces, preferably as a coolant, as a lubricant, as a means to prevent the formation of rust, as a cleaner and/or for permanent coating of metal surfaces.
