FIELD: forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forestry, in particular to the protection of forest areas from fire. Each section of the forest is fenced with four clearings, consisting of a strip of land cleared of trees in the forest. The clearing is made 50-70 m wide and has a plowed strip of land 20 m wide in the middle. In the strips of land cleared of trees, ponds with water are located at a distance of 2-4 km from each other.
EFFECT: transition of fire from one forest area to another adjacent forest area is prevented, the area of combustible forests is reduced.
