FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of metallurgy, particularly to a steel profile including a shelf of the central part connected on each side with a side part with a thickness of at least 100 mm used in manufacture of racks for high-rise buildings, large spans, transition and belt trusses, outboard bearings and bridge beams. The steel profile is made of steel containing, % wt.: C: 0.06 to 0.16, Mn: 1.10 to 2.00, Si: 0.10 to 0.40, Cu: 0.001 to 0.50, Ni: 0.001 to 0.30, Cr: 0.001 to 0.50, Mo: 0.001 to 0.20, V: 0.06 to 0.12, N: 0.0050 to 0.0200, Al ≤ 0.040, P ≤ 0.040, S ≤ 0.030, if necessary Ti < 0.005 and/or Nb ≤ 0.05, the rest is iron and impurities. The microstructure of the profile includes no less than one type of vanadium precipitates containing, if necessary, no less than one metal selected from chromium, manganese and iron. Said precipitates are selected from nitrides, carbides, carbonitrides or any combination thereof, wherein more than 70% of such precipitates are characterised by an average diameter being less than 6 nm of the profile.
EFFECT: high tensile yield point constituting at least 485 MPa and high tensile point constituting at least 580 MPa, as well as high weldability are provided.
