FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and namely to devices for cleaning high-alloyed welding wire with a diameter of 0.5 to 1.2 mm. The device for cleaning the welding wire comprises a frame on which a coil with a welding wire to be cleaned is installed, as well as a coarse and a fine cleaning chamber filled with filler. Installed electric drive and means for pressing the filler in the coarse cleaning chamber to the wire. The coarse cleaning chamber is made in the form of a volumetric conical section, consisting of several steel petals, the end sections of which are rigidly connected to the jaws of the lathe chuck, which acts as a clamping means. Inside the conical chamber, there is a ball made of a twisted metal thread made of nickel alloy, the number of petals being equal to the number of jaws of the lathe chuck. The fine cleaning chamber consists of two sections.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the design, improves the quality of cleaning the welding wire with a thickness of 0.5-1.2 mm and improves the quality of the weld.
