FIELD: waste processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for processing polyolefin-containing waste using a solvent with a certain Hansen parameter and bringing this mixture into contact with a liquid filtration medium before separating the polyolefin from the mixture. The method includes the following steps: mixing polyolefin-containing waste with a solvent having a Hansen parameter δH from 0.0 to 3.0 MPa1/2; bringing this mixture into contact with a liquid filtration medium having a Hansen parameter δH>4.0 MPa1/2, wherein the polar solvent accelerates the precipitation of impurities and the separation of polyolefin from the mixture.
EFFECT: method for processing waste allows the extraction of high-quality polyolefin products from used flexible multilayer waste from landfills with a quality comparable to the initial polyolefin material, and replacement of the latter in typical subsequent processing stages.
