FIELD: sporting weapon.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an illuminating set and a method for illuminating for weapon used in fencing, as well as to weapon for sporting use. The claimed sporting weapon contains handle (7), blade (9) extending from specified handle (7) and having a profile with a V-shaped cross section and defining longitudinal groove (11) extending along the length of blade (9), guard (8) located between blade (9) and handle (7), and an illuminating set. The illuminating set contains light source (6), at least one element (10) of the directional distribution of light (L) generated by specified source (6), means (16) of fixing for a strong engagement of element (10) of distribution inside specified groove (11), and means (18) of power supply electrically connected to specified light source (6). Specified element (10) is placed inside groove (11) made on blade (9) of specified weapon (2). Specified light source (6) contains at least one LED (6a), made with the possibility of placing it on handle (7) of the weapon. Specified LED (6a) is capable of generating light (L) with an electromagnetic frequency within the visible part of the spectrum. Specified element (10) of directional distribution of light contains at least one optical fiber (15) passing along the longitudinal length of groove (11) made on blade (9). Optical fiber (15) has first end (15a) connected to light source (6) and second end (15b) opposite to specified first end (15a) and located near tip (14) of blade (9). Specified means (16) of fixing contain at least one resin or glue transparent to light radiation for the distribution of light (L) distributed by fiber (15). The specified resin/glue is distributed along entire groove (11).

EFFECT: improvement in the visibility of sporting weapons during playing sports, without the need to change the design of the weapon itself.
