FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medium and root sections of the blades of the main and tail propellers of the aircraft. The aerodynamic profile of the carrier element of the aircraft contains the contours of the upper and lower surfaces. The thickness of the profile is determined as a percentage by the ratio of the maximum thickness of the profile to the chord and is from 8 to 20%. The coordinates of the convex curves are counted from the midline of the profile, with the upper coordinate added and the lower one subtracted. The coordinates are determined by relations calculated for the thickness of 10.5%.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the performance characteristics of the profile at high altitudes in low-pressure conditions.
