FIELD: gas generator protection.
SUBSTANCE: method for protecting the gas generator of a turbojet by-pass engine from dust particles is intended for use in aviation technology operating in conditions of contaminated air with small particles. This method consists in the fact that dust particles that have entered the engine are thrown away under the action of centrifugal forces arising from a specially organized swirl of the flow to the periphery of the air flow and enter the channel of the external circuit of the engine. A fan straightener is installed at the inlet of the external circuit of the engine, and the inlet guide vane of the high pressure compressor is rebuilt, which consists in changing the angle of installation of the blades of the inlet guide vane of the high pressure compressor. After that, dust particles, together with air, move along the channel of the outer circuit and through the outlet device they exit into the atmosphere, without getting into the inner circuit of the engine.
EFFECT: protection of the gas generator of a turbojet by-pass engine from dust ingress, first of all, on the high-pressure compressor rotor blades and the absence of power losses.
