SUBSTANCE: coke hopper car with a roof unit with a control mechanism containing a removable body installed on the chassis on guides, placed whereon is a mechanised roof with a control mechanism, installed on rollers in the guides fixed on the body of the car, along the movement bogie of the car, the guides are also fixed separately on the movement bogie, configured to move the roof of the car to the end position of opening and then closing the body of the car, wherein the drive of the roof control mechanism is installed on the movement bogie, configured to allow for a free separation of the kinematic connection between the drive and the roof movement mechanism, wherein the coke hopper car is configured for free separation of the roof with the movement mechanism while the body of the car is removed from the movement bogie due to a detachable link in the form of a brace attached on the bracket of the roof on both sides from the side of the mechanism with free engagement with the trunnions of the tow chains, the drive of the roof movement mechanism.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility to significantly reduce the combustion of coke unloaded from the furnace and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
