FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to ship hatchways. A ship companion hatchway cover is proposed, containing a leaf equipped with hinges, bolt bar handles consisting of external and internal handles, axes of the bolt bars and cams of the bolt bars. A sealing plate is installed along the perimeter of the leaf, adjacent to the coaming in the closed state. The cams of the bolt bars are configured to be fixed in the closed position from the inside of the hatchway. The outer handles are connected with the axes of the bolt bars so that the outer handle is separated when a predetermined torque is achieved on the axis of the bolt bar.
EFFECT: probability of the crew members being taken hostage in the event of a pirate attack is reduced due to prevention of unauthorised access to the vessel, increasing the safety of shipping.
