FEED PATH OF AN ARTILLERY MOUNT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC F41A9/00

Abstract RU 2755562 C1

FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weaponry and can be used in feed paths of artillery mounts with belted feed. The feed path of an artillery mount comprises a flexible sleeve with a neck for directing the cartridge belt to the receiving window of the machine gun, formed by the bracket and cover thereof, and a unit for limiting the movement of the cartridge belt from above and from the side of the bases of the cartridge cases, located between the neck and the receiving window. The limiting unit is made in the form of a horizontal guiding plate, movably connected with the upper end of the neck with one side thereof, and the opposite side thereof enters the receiving window from the side of the cover of the machine gun with an overlap. A supporting platform for the mouths of the cartridge cases is located on the horizontal guiding plate, providing a horizontal position of the cartridge belt before entrance into the receiving window, as well as a vertical guiding plate for limiting the movement of the cartridge belt during firing from the side of the bases of the cartridge cases. One end of the vertical guiding plate is fixed on the horizontal guiding plate from the side of the neck, and the free end thereof enters the receiving window from the side of the bracket of the machine gun with an overlap. The vertical plate is spring-loaded to the bases of the cartridge cases, and the horizontal guiding plate is spring-loaded to the opening of the neck. To ensure assemblability of the cover of the machine gun, slants are made at the free end of the vertical plate. The vertical guiding plate is installed on a rigidly fixed axis with a protrusion engaging with the recess made on the vertical plate, the size whereof which allows for rotation of said plate relative to the axis.

EFFECT: increase in the firing reliability of an artillery mount.
