FIELD: measuring technology and electronic instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and electronic instrumentation and can be used in flow metering of conductive liquids, such as water and aqueous solutions of salts, alkalis and acids, conductive organic and inorganic chemical compounds. The converter of a conductive liquid flow rate consists of a housing made of a dielectric and electrodes installed flush with its inner surface, and differs in that the housing contains two rows of electrodes located in the same plane opposite each other, in each of which the number of electrodes is determined by the required number bits of the output binary code, the electronic part includes a set of resistors, a stable reference current source, a resistive voltage divider, a set of comparators and a positional binary code to natural binary code converter, wherein, the electrodes of one of the two rows are connected to the positive terminal of the reference current source, the electrodes of the other row are connected through the resistors of a set of resistors to the negative terminal of the same reference current source so that currents redistributed between the electrodes, the sum of which is always equal to the reference current, create voltage drops across the resistors in order of the positional code, then they were normalized in size by a set of comparators, the non-inverting and inverting inputs of which are connected to the resistors of the set of resistors and the resistive voltage divider, respectively.
EFFECT: invention improves the conversion accuracy by reducing the number of sources of instability of the function of converting the flow rate of the liquid into the output signal.
