SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer security, in particular, to a method for starting a hypervisor in a computer system protected from unauthorised access to information at an early stage of loading the computer. The method for activating a hypervisor in a computer system at an early stage of loading the computer from an external hardware apparatus includes connecting an external hardware apparatus with a thin hypervisor and UEFI parameters stored thereon and protected from unauthorised access, activating the computer, starting the UEFI from a fully write-protected flash memory microcircuit chip of the computer, starting the thin hypervisor from the external hardware apparatus prior to deactivation of the UEFI and launch of any programs capable of affecting or preventing the start of the thin hypervisor, wherein the absence of a thin hypervisor and UEFI parameters on the external hardware apparatus renders the start of the computer system impossible.
