FIELD: packaging.

SUBSTANCE: container (1), made of plastic and having the main axis (X), is provided with case (5) and lower base (6) extending from the lower end of case (5). Lower base (6) contains peripheral support surface (7) forming plane (8) of an installation, concave arch (10) that runs from the periphery of central zone (11) of lower base (6) to peripheral support surface (7), a number of main reinforcing grooves (13) that run radially from central zone (11) to at least the peripheral support surface. Concave arch (10) has a rounded general shape with a recess turned to the outer side of container (1), and has two ring-shaped tangentially continuous concentric areas, i. e. central area (15) and peripheral area (16). Ring-shaped tangentially continuous concentric areas are located continuously with each other and have two different radii of curvature. Peripheral area (16) has a radius of curvature less than that of central area (15).

EFFECT: geometric shape of the base provides a good ratio between inflatability, lightness and rigidity, provides good resistance to eversion, indentation (irreversible local deformation), and also allows stable installation on pallets in conditions of high pressure and/or large internal volume.
