FIELD: sealing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing equipment, in particular to single cartridge-type mechanical seals; it can be used for preventing liquid leakages from a working cavity of a centrifugal pump between a case and a rotating pump shaft. Single cartridge-type mechanical seal contains a case, stationary and rotating nodes that make up a friction pair, a set of preliminary compressed springs, and an element of fixing the rotating node of mechanical seal to the shaft. In the element of fixing the rotating node of mechanical seal to the shaft, adjusting screws are located, while a bushing of the rotating node is located coaxially relatively to the case and is adjusted in the axial direction with a screwing value of adjusting screws in the element of fixing.

EFFECT: invention will simplify the maintenance of the pump, because it will allow using one single cartridge-type mechanical seal at different pressures of pumped liquid without changing it.
