FIELD: nuclear waste treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of recycling of nuclear energy materials. The method for restoring the isotopic composition of regenerated uranium of burnt-out nuclear fuel for reuse in a nuclear reactor is based on the implementation of isotopic reduction of regenerated uranium hexafluoride in a double separation gas-centrifuge cascade with the supply of diluent uranium hexafluoride to the second cascade and mixing the uranium hexafluoride isolated in the cascade with diluent uranium hexafluoride. Moreover, the streams of by-products of the double cascade are mixed in the form of uranium hexafluoride gas.
EFFECT: production of uranium hexafluoride with U-235 enrichment up to 2.86%, suitable for reuse in a nuclear reactor, from raw regenerated uranium with a uranium-235 isotope content of 0.84 wt. %.
