FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rail electric circuits. A measuring channel of the traction current in a traction rail network contains rail threads of the traction rail network, insulating joints, two shunt resistors, a choke transformer, the first and second half-windings of the main winding of which are connected to two current sensors based on the Hall effect, six fuses with actuation control, shunt resistors, a microcontroller and a calibration module. Each current sensor based on the Hall effect is connected to semi-winding via serially connected fuses and a shunt resistor, and outputs of current sensors based on the Hall effect are connected to the microcontroller integrating the measuring channel into a technical diagnostics and monitoring system. The calibration module is connected to the first and second shunt resistors connected in series with fuses and current sensors based on the Hall effect through two normally open contacts of two electromagnetic relays connected in series with fuses.

EFFECT: increased stability of operation of rail chains.
