FIELD: rocket engineering.
SUBSTANCE: liquid rocket engine (LRE) with an electric pump system for supplying low-boiling fuel components, including a regeneratively cooled combustion chamber, electric pump units for supplying the fuel components into the chamber, a power supply unit for the electric pump units based on accumulator batteries, wherein the engine includes a turboelectric generator, the entrance to the turbine whereof is in communication with the line for output from the cooling path of the chamber of the low-boiling fuel component gasified therein; the exit from the turbine is in communication with the line for input of said fuel component into the cavity of the nozzle head of the chamber, and the terminals of the electric generator are connected by a cable through a converter in the form of a charging apparatus and an automatic circuit breaker with the terminals of the power supply of the pump electric drives.
EFFECT: invention provides an improvement in the weight characteristics of the engine with an electric pump system for supplying low-boiling fuel components due to the reduction in the amount and weight of accumulator batteries in the power supply of electric pump units.
