METHOD FOR STANDARDISING THE FLIGHT LOAD OF A HELICOPTER PILOT WHEN PERFORMING THE "ZOOM CLIMB" EXERCISE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2765534 C1

FIELD: educating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for professional training of helicopter pilots. Proposed method for standardising the professional load of a helicopter pilot when performing the "Zoom climb" exercise consists in the fact that no later than 10 minutes before the beginning of simulator training, the pulse rate and breathing rate of the pilot are recorded at least three times, the recorded values are averaged by calculating the arithmetic average values thereof, and said values are taken as background values of the pulse rate (x1f) and breathing rate (x2f); using mathematical modelling, the optimal trajectory of performing the exercise is calculated so as to know the quantities of roll (x3r), pitch (x4r), course (x5r), and maximum vertical overload (x6r) at any point in said trajectory; when performing the exercise, the current quantities of indicators are recorded from the beginning to the end of performance thereof with a frequency of 2 Hz: the pulse rate (x1) and breathing rate (x2) of the pilot, roll (x3), pitch (x4), course (x5), and maximum vertical overload (x6), and upon the end of a successfully completed exercise: 1) for each recording point, the relative deviations of the current values of each indicator from the background or calculated values (values Δ1, Δ2, …, Δ6, respectively) are calculated: for x1 and x2 (quantities Δ1 and Δ2), the quotient of the module of the difference between the current and background value of the indicator and the background value thereof; for x3, x4, x5, x6, x7 and x8 (quantities Δ3, Δ4, Δ5 and Δ6), the quotient of the module of the difference between the current and calculated value of the indicator and the calculated value thereof; 2) from each array of quantities Δ1 … Δ6, constituting the combination of said values for all recording points, two maximum and two minimum quantities are excluded; 3) the quantities remaining in the arrays Δ1 … Δ6 are averaged, calculating the arithmetic mean value thereof, obtaining quantities m1 … m8; 4) the arithmetic average value of the quantities m1 … m6 is taken as the estimate of the integral flight load indicator IPLN, based on the quantity whereof, the flight load is estimated as: "adequate", if the quantity IPLN does not exceed 0.5, "inadequate", if the quantity IPLN is in the range from 0.5 to 1, "substantially inadequate", if the quantity IPLN exceeds 1, considering that if the flight load is "inadequate", the pilot needs additional training in the exercise and psychophysiological training, and if the flight load is "substantially inadequate", the pilot is directed for a refresher training course or additional exercises with an instructor.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of evaluating the flight load of a helicopter pilot, accounting for the components of functional and professional reliability thereof.
