FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic tire includes a tread consisting of a rubber mixture, containing from 30 to 120 wt.pts. including silicon dioxide, having a BET specific surface area of 180 to 280 m2/g based on 100 wt.pts. including rubber component, where in normal state without load, when pneumatic tire is installed on standard rim and inflated to normal internal pressure, shape of the surface of contact with soil, to which a normal load is applied, and the protector is pressed to a flat surface, satisfies following equation (1): 0.95≤L0/SL80≤1.6, where SL0 is the length of contact with the ground in the longitudinal direction at the tire equator, and SL80 is length of contact with soil in longitudinal direction in position remote from tire equator by distance in axial direction of tire making 80 % of half of width of contact with soil of tread.
EFFECT: improved resistance to abrasive wear of the tread.
