FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and zootechnics, namely, to veterinary obstetrics and animal breeding, and can be used to optimise the reproductive function in cattle. The method for preventing postpartum uterine subinvolution and endometritis in cows consists in injecting cows intramuscularly with cloprostenol at a dose of 750 mcg on the day of calving, injecting aglepristone intramuscularly at a dose of 300 mg on the third day of the postpartum period, and on day 8, a 2% solution of synoestrol at a dose of 3 to 4 ml.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the effectiveness of prevention of postpartum uterine pathologies in cows with a high degree of reproducibility of the results.
