SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyacrylate-polysilane block copolymers. Disclosed is a composition for forming an article containing a polyacrylate-polysilane block copolymer having formula (I), and an organic polymer selected from polyolefins, polyesters and polystyrenes. In formula (I), m and n independently represent integers ranging from 100 to 1,000; p is an integer ranging from 0 to 3; q is an integer ranging from 1 to 3; R1 and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, methyl or ethyl; R3 is a hydrogen atom; L is a single bond or a divalent group -NH-, -C(O)NH-, -NHC(O)NH-, -OC(O)NH- or -CH2-; R4, R5 and R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched alkyl group containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or a polydimethylsiloxane residue, where at least one of R4, R5 and R6 is a polydimethylsiloxane residue; and R7 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
EFFECT: disclosed composition increases scratch resistance of the polymer and simultaneously prevents leaching of the polymer from the article.
