FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a hydraulic pressure supply unit of a hydraulic steering system with at least two hydraulic cylinders and at least one hydraulic pump 9, as well as to a method of operating a hydraulic pressure supply unit of a hydraulic steering system and a steering system. Hydraulic cylinders are kinematically connected by connecting rod cavity 5a of the first hydraulic cylinder, at least by the hydraulic line with rod cavity 5b of the second hydraulic cylinder and by connecting piston cavity 6a of the first hydraulic cylinder, at least, the hydraulic line with piston cavity 6b of the second hydraulic cylinder. At that, hydraulic pump 7 is installed in hydraulic line between both piston cavities 6a, 6b. Hydraulic pump 10 can be installed at least in hydraulic line 8 between both rod cavities 5a, 5b.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a hydraulic unit and a steering system with high reliability against failure and with high efficiency, as well as with the possibility of a smaller mounting space.
