FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering. The effect is achieved by fixing the signs and modules of the integrals of the current of all phases of the circuit breaker to be closed during automatic reclosure (AR), for M current periods before the first trip of the circuit breaker in AR cycle by a relay protection signal, where M is an integer ranging from 1 to 5. After the expiration of the specified time delay during AR, the moments of transition of the switched voltages through zero are fixed. For a circuit breaker with three-phase control, in the AR cycle, the phase is determined, the current integral of which has the largest modulus during M current periods until the first trip of the circuit breaker, and the circuit breaker is closed. The signal to reclose the circuit breaker is generated using an additional time delay determined by the appropriate formula. After the specified time delay, reclosing of the circuit breaker is allowed.
EFFECT: increasing the stability of the functioning of high-speed relay protection devices by closing the circuit breaker only in a favorable range of the initial phase of the periodic component of the switching current.
