FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves application of a granular chemical reagent on an artificial runway, which reacts with snow-ice formations and ensures their destruction, and removal of reaction products of said reagent and snow-ice formations. Application of granular chemical reagent by means of spreader on snow-ice formations begins from center of artificial runway, wherein the spreader is used to distribute the granular chemical reagent non-uniformly, more densely in the center and less densely to the edges of the artificial runway. After passing along the center of the artificial runway, the spreader is directed along the edges of the granular chemical reagent. After chemical reagent reacts with snow-ice formations, by means of a detachment of plow-brush snowplows, in a circular pattern from the center of the artificial runway products of destruction of snow-ice formations are swept away to the edge of the artificial runway. Speed operating mode of said snowplows is selected within range of 2 to 10 km/h based on the condition that the lower the ambient temperature, the lower the speed of the plow-brush snowplows. At the same time providing the effect of grinding and rubbing into the snow-ice formations of the granular chemical reagent and the ingress of heat arising from the friction of the brushes of the plow-brush snowplows against the snow-ice formations on the artificial runway with the previously applied granular chemical reagent, directly into snow-ice formations on artificial runway coating. Products of destruction of snow-ice formations are dried with a wind machine or frozen with air.
EFFECT: method increases efficiency of the granular reagent while reducing its consumption.
