FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket equipment and is based on joint operation of multiple pulsed cumulative chambers (operation whereof is described in patent No. 2692171), arranged radially on the bottom of a rocket engine (hereinafter PCRE), and can be applied as sustainer rocket engines. A PCRE consisting of a conical chamber, a nozzle unit and a bottom, the inner surface whereof constitutes a spherical segment, with channels located in the wall of said bottom for separate supply of an oxidiser and fuel into pulsed cumulative chambers located radially relative to the inner surface of the bottom, wherein the parameters of the chamber are selected from the condition that the pulsation frequency in each chamber is at least 300 Hz and all chambers work with a relative phase shift in the pulsations to reduce vibrations during operation of the engine, and the amount of chambers can be at least 3, depending on the required power and other parameters of the engine.
EFFECT: creation of a pulsed cumulative rocket engine with a high specific impulse, large power, and a low level of vibration.
